Tickford Abbey is a pleasant late Victorian house, built on the site of a former medieval monastery on the outskirts of Newport Pagnell. The magnificent landscaped garden bounded on one side by the River Ouse offers the ideal setting for relaxation.
There are a total of 33 bedrooms, most with en-suite facilities. Each room is fully furnished to a high standard. Residents are encouraged to bring in personal items such as pictures, ornaments and small items of furniture. The rooms are also equipped with a call bell system, T.V. point, easily accessible light switches and plug sockets. In addition, we have a number of assisted bathrooms/shower rooms.
We have three spacious sitting rooms, a dining room, a television room and a very popular conservatory. A passenger lift is available to upper floors. The home arranges a regular programme of activities, outings and trips for the residents. There are also regular visits by a hairdresser and chiropodist.
A qualified and experienced Manager and team provide 24 hour management cover for the home, and they are ably supported by trained care assistants, catering and domestic staff.
