Torkington House is an elegant Edwardian House that was originally opened in 1947. The residential care home is situated in a peaceful tree-lined road in Acton, West London and is accessible to public transport and shops. It has now been redeveloped with the addition of a new dining room, a second sitting room and a new wing to accommodate 32 residents in total. The gardens are an added attraction to both residents and their visitors.
The majority of the care home rooms are fitted with en-suites. Each room is fully carpeted and furnished to a high standard. They are also equipped with a call bell system, TV point, easily accessible light switches and plug sockets. Residents are encouraged to bring in personal items such as pictures, ornaments and small items of furniture. A pay phone is available but if you wish, you may have a telephone in your own room at your own expense.
