Welcome to the tenth Eden UK Newsletter. This edition includes a report on the Eden UK Associates Conference and presentation of the first certificate and ‘Eden Tree’ to Murray House, the first Eden UK Registered home; a report on the University of Surrey’s evaluation of the Royal Borough of Kingston implementation of Eden, and stories from The Briars IOW and Moors Park, Devon. Also included is a brief report of Dr Bill Thomas’s visit to the Dementia Services Development Centre South East international conference at Christchurch University, Canterbury in May and notification of the 3rd European Eden Alternative Networking Meeting in Vienna.
Eden Alternative UK Register of Homes As we announced at the end of last year 2010 would see the launch of the Eden UK Register of Homes to recognise those homes that are well established on their Eden Journey. We are happy to confirm that the Register is now live on the Eden UK website and that the four Royal Borough of Kingston homes are the first to have completed the self assessment and validation process.
